What happens? 3 stories from 1954, 1987, 20??.  LA crime stories, last one is the crime photographer Finn who falls for Riley the undercover cop who gets shot and winds up in a wheelchair.  Middle story is a prosecutor who is sleeping with a married copy (Z) and gets a Reagan-era female boss. 
How long was this? 350 pages
Did I like this? Really good writing, the 3 stories made it a bit hard to follow.  Need to pick up more by this author.

What happens? Alice moves from England.  Bennett is probably.  Marjorie kills a redneck and gets tried, and gets pregnant
