Main Characters: Harry Corbin, girlfriend Adele, dead girl Mynka, Clyde Kelly, the Portola family, Sister Kassia, bad guy Aslan
What happens? Harry finds a dead body, an immigrant girl who appears to be victim of white slavery. She has had her insides removed. Clyde happened to see the guy getting rid of the body, and gives him a clue to lead him to Aslan and some very disturbed rich people.
How long was this? hmmmm - 4964 on my Kindle reader
Did I like this? Considering it was free and available now via the library as an eBook, it was pretty good. Harry was kind of a bizarre character, went ballistic at the end. But I would try this author again.

What happens? Someone is killing hunters, and treating them like the hunted animals, then putting a poker chip in their mouth. Gov Rulon asks Joe to get involved, and Pope agrees that he needs him on the job. Moore is an anti-hunting advocate and brings his circus to town. Joe gets Nate out of FBI prison about half way through because they are desperate.
How long was this? 301 pages
Did I like this? Box is great and every book gets better. Joe is a complicated leading man, and the path is never simple. I don't know whether to go back or forward in the Joe/Nate saga to see what happens next.

What happens? In the budding Soviet Union in 1938, a film is being made near Odessa called "The Darkening Field." A young lady working on the film is murdered, and it is made to look like a suicide by hanging. Korolev is told to approach with caution, as the young lady is the mistress of Ezhov. He quickly determines that it is murder.
How long was this? 319 pages
Did I like this? Wonderful story and great characters, but it also really gives a view into what they were trying to do in forming the Soviet Union and create a new way of governing and existing, and how flawed that attempt was.

Did I like this? A great story, fast moving, has you rooting for the good guys and bad guys. Plenty of action.

Well, Jack Ryan is running to regain the presidency from Kielty who is a scum sucking liberal, and he is winning, so Kielty tries to undermine him by associating him with Clark who has (illegally) captured a monster terrorist (like people would really care how he captured the guy??) And this of course makes the work of "the Campus" more difficult because they are fighting to stop a bad guy from launching nuclear weapons at Moscow from Pakistan.
How long was this? hours and hours and hours
