What happens? Stromsoe's wife and kid are killed by a bomb from Tavarez, intended for him. Tavarez and Stromsoe grew up together; Matt became a cop and Mike a leader of El Eme. After a couple of years of drinking, Stromsoe goes back to work, and is hired to protect Hatfield.
How long was this? 370 pages
Did I like this? This is great mystery writing. Wonderful story, gripping, writes a plot a bit like a good Harlan Coben, not as funny, but really well thought out with twists and turns. Thanks to the legendary Sumner Christie for recommending this author.
Overall grade: A- sensational book, the ending came a little too easily for some bad guys, but overall top notch.
