What happens? Ferris hires King to look into why Quiller was arrested and is being held.  
How long was this? 324 pages
Did I like this? A myriad of weird characters with names like Mookie and Methquarth (King's mysterious Hawk-like protector.)  Still no idea who they were.  Can't remember what the connection was between Ferris sand Quiller.  He's a good writer and I like the main character but I could not follow all these characters.

Did I like this? Good idea for a plot and torturous way to play it out.  No one can ever tell anyone anything so everything's a secret. SPOLIER -  And she takes a baseball bat to a suspect.
This author is on the NO READ LIST after her 2 hour torture adventure with the teenager kept in the basement for 11 years for NO REASON

Did I like this? Excellent book, painful recreation of South Boston in 1974.

What happens? Cameron's body is found at Stockman's grave, which he painted in a well-known painting.  The car is found 9 km away.  What happened?  Why?  the secrets of the family are unveiled, set in the Australian outback where homes are 3 hours from each other.
How long was this? 340 pages
Did I like this? A good story, yeah, makes life in the outback come to life

the Blue Hour by T. Jefferson Parker

What happens? Someone is snatchning woman using choloroform, and then mummifying them.  Hess has cancer, but needs the medical coverage and is back on the beat with Merci, who has anger issues and is suing Kemp for sexual harrassment.

How long was this?  359 pages
Did I like this? a page turner, gruesome, good characters and plot
