Did I like this? Yes, usual great M Connelly stuff.

Did I like this? The basic story is a good one.  It is extended by 3 hours by extensive ramblings about details that could just be left out.  I did immediately go to the 2nd Whistler story, The Judge's List

Did I like this? Normal le Carre.  Interesting characters.  Immersion in the UK.  mysterious plot that is hard to follow or understand even when it is over.

Did I like this?  Entertaining, great characters but the plot just kind of meanders and I wasn't smart enough to know what was going on. Really would make a great TV series. first 3 seasons already written.

Did I like this? Pretty good story actually.  Does the 'before' thing to go back in time, and each chapter has it's own character.  But it works well

What happens? Gamache investigates the murder of the last quintuplet.  The evil chief inspector tricks Beauvoir and keeps him drug addicted as he hatches an inconceivable plot.
How long was this? 405 pages
Did I like this? Very good gamache, exciting.  He never actually solves the quint mystery, imho.

Did I like this? OK, kind of a stretch, and the truth is introduced about 92% of the way in.
